All right, I decided to separate this from the "Spoiler Thread" simply because people thought Episode 8 was posted as soon as I created that thread. To eliminate any confusion, I split both threads up. And we finally begin...
9/16/2008 About four matches have been captured but I'm nowhere near "done" yet. I may need to recapture a few matches as well since there's some "iffy" moments and bad logic here and there. I'll have to review those matches in order to feel 100% comfortable. If the matches look good overall, I won't have to go back in. But who knows at this point...
I want Emo/Stern to be the best URWL main event so far...and if need be, I'll recapture 100 times before it resembles the match I want it to be. In its current state, there's some botches and sloppiness but it was a blast to play. Again, I'll have to see what kind of "vibe" I get from the match before I attempt to recapture.
Kuleshov/Commander may just blow your mind, folks. I wanted a technical match and I was able to pull one off using the shitty SVR engine. Lots of reversals, logical buildups to moves, good submissions...I hope you feel as good about it as I do. IMO it's already the "sleeper" of the night although that may very well change by the time the song is sung.
I don't want to give away too much here but I'm trying to make this card worth a damn. Shittiness (if that's even a word) will not make it through without a recapture. Sure, a few botches per match may be fine but if it screws anything up, I'm back to the drawing board.
Don't get too excited about seeing the show just yet. It's gonna take a while.

Yeah take your time, i'd rather have a great show released late than a rushed show.

9/23/2008[/u] I'm currently in a video production course right now at university so the URWL is kinda being pushed aside at the moment, but I always find time to go back and work on the event a bit whenever I have some free time.
Most of the matches are captured with the exception of two. One match has a ton of problems with AI, and it's driving me up a wall. Just when I think I have a good match, the AI becomes stupid instantly. I must've re-captured this match about 25 times so far. Hopefully the final product will be up to par. I probably just have to go into it with a clear head and not act frustrated. The second of the two matches is a pretty time-consuming one, so I haven't had enough time to really dive head-first into it.
As for the production of PD2008, I'm currently planning some unique things. Since we're off YouTube, I'm planning to now have hype videos and wrestler promos in-between matches (in place of the normal episodes' commercials). Also, before every match, I'm planning to show a short video of who won the specific match's voting, which should be a nice touch. Namebars are looking pretty good at this stage, and I'm proud to announce they have more animation than any namebar I've ever made. There's a lot of stuff flying in, out and around, just like you'll see on WWE broadcasts.
When I have some time in-between classes, I try and book future events and come up with some ideas about what I plan to do in the URWL a few months down the road. I have some big things planned for 2009. However, since school's been much more intensive this semester (production course and all) it's going to be hard to stick to my schedule. If need be, I cancel BOTP and just make Discontent the first supercard on 2009...I'll have more time to produce that event, since the fall semester ends on the first week of December. But I'm still debating that at the moment. It could change.

10/2/2008 After putting capturing off due to high involvement in classes and school, I'm finally going to finish the event tonight. I still have a few more intros, one more (problematic) match and the show's pyrotechnics intro to capture and we're all set, so editing will finally begin on the weekend. I just had some dental work done, so my voice is in pretty bad shape right now. If it's still like that after I'm done editing, then expect a delay for my voice to fully recover. But I think I'll be fine by then.

10/3/2008 Finished capturing and created the majority of the event graphics. Some "special" (hint: match-specific) graphics haven't been made yet, though. They'll be saved for when I start editing those specific matches. Other than that, actual match editing begins tonight.

10/6/2008[/u] Over the weekend, I edited "Reloaded" episodes 1 and 2 to give you guys a bit of nostalgia before PD2008 takes the air. However, that doesn't mean I haven't been working on PD2008 itself. Here are a few "sneak peeks" at what to expect from the event (don't worry, no spoilers here): Sorry if the image quality isn't up to par, Vegas exports still images pretty terribly.

It's up when it's up. No date yet but at the moment I'm shooting for before or on the date of WWE Cyber Sunday (on or around October 26th).

10/10/2008[/u] Editing's going pretty well although it's a lot more work than I expected. There's a lot of "extra stuff" before and after matches that I haven't ever done before in the way I'm doing it here, so it's basically 'trial and error' at this point. The match voting result sequences, especially, were difficult to pull off at first, but it's been going really well ever since the first one I made. Really looking forward, now, to see how this will all look once it's put together.

10/15/2008 Looking to edit at least two more matches tonight. Because of studying, my birthday and more important matters, I haven't been working on the event as much as I anticipated in the last week but I should make up for it tonight.
