I've hinted at this in another thread but I'm going to officially make a statement on this now. We're going to return to YouTube...but only as an ALTERNATE means of seeing the show.
These shows will be severely edited and cut up to fit into YouTube's copyright constraints. It's not what I want to do with the show but I will show these only as a "last resort" for people who are having problems finding the forthcoming full shows or for those that don't want to watch a 2-3 hour long event just to see the match they want to see.
These matches will be edited or split for time and have all entrance and theme music removed (with the exception of any instrumental "promo" music or those themes that use independent/unsigned artists' music, such as GWN's).
Also, the YouTube videos will not be the recommended way to see the shows. I will constantly be plugging links to the "uncensored" version on the video with annotations or graphics before, during and after the match, so at least people know a definitive "promoter's cut" exists that resembles my true vision for the show.
Old events and matches from Seasons 1 and 2 may make their way back up before Rebirth lands but will also conform to the same editing I already talked about. For example, if I decide to post Emo/Stern "II" up, it will be without entrances and outros or a stylistic "edited" entrance/outro package with narration, et cetera. Expect a "Best of the URWL" type deal, with numerous matches, to surface before Rebirth.
The future shows will not be featured on my "makedonijanata" or "GoldashTV" accounts but on a separate, new account called "URWLcentral" (www.youtube.com/URWLcentral).
Hopefully, without being uselessly flagged or taken down for violation of another useless law I don't know, this "gentler-on-the-laws" version of the URWL on YouTube will work out well for us.
No, this does not mean we're "switching back" to YouTube. We will still continue to make long-form, "uncensored" shows that will be the primary way to view the episodes. The YouTube matches we will post will simply be a way to see the event in a stable, user-friendly place.
Please post any questions or comments here. Hopefully this will work out well in our favor despite the obvious editing I'll have to do just to put these on the site without a violation of any crazy intellectual property legislation.
