(SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA): A tentative card for Rebirth, the event that will open Season 3 of the URWL's CAW era and the season that will usher in the tenth anniversary of the URWL's inception, has just been revealed. And Seth Stern is nowhere to be found.
Originally scheduled to compete in the first match of the evening, a four-way dance for the #1 Contendership of the URWL Championship, Stern found himself off the card as of the most recent revision.
After losing his rematch clause in another disappointing, dramatic loss to Jaime Emo, Stern was visibly distraught and angered at the URWL Booking Committee's decision when interviewed early Friday morning.
"I'm the rookie of the year," Seth angrily shouted to a Wrestling Observer journalist outside his San Francisco apartment, "the future of the URWL, the most valuable young face in wrestling today, and they leave me off the fucking card? Fuck rematch clauses, I'm still the true #1 Contender, win or lose. I won't stand for this. The URWL wants new wrestlers in the main event? Why? They're not main event talent. Commander, Blood, Fusion, they can't hold a candle to what I have done in my impressive rookie and sophomore seasons. But no. The URWL thinks they can insert these men into a spot I should occupy. It's fucking pitiful that I'm treated this way, and that I've been pushed around in this manner. I'm sick and tired of being underestimated."
Jaime Emo's dramatic come-from-behind win in Episode 9 wasn't far from Stern's thoughts, either. "That little fucker. Jaime Emo, I'm sick and tired of you. You must love the lucky breaks life keeps throwing your way. I saw the replay of Episode 9, and my pin after the last Star of David was clearly six inches from the bottom rope. My Uncle Jack and I are going to be launching an investigation into this matter and see that this referee, who was obviously paid off by Emo and the URWL to undermine me once again, is fired and never allowed to referee a wrestling match for as long as he's alive. I want this referee blacklisted. Because in the end, if he didn't call a break on a pin that was perfectly legal, I would be the URWL Champion and finally able to tell the wrestling world that I ended Jaime Emo's pathetic run as a main event wrestler once and for all. But no...it doesn't work that way around here. They stripped me of my #1 Contendership, saying that I already used my rematch clause in Episode 9. And now, they don't even give me a second chance to get it back at Rebirth. What a fucking joke."
Stern ended by saying, "Goldash, Vince, if you're hearing this, put me back on the card this instant. Because if you don't, I'll tell Uncle Jack and the Board on which he sits about two other men that should be fired, blacklisted and never allowed to work again. It's unprofessional behavior and a bad business decision. And you both know that when you're NUMBER ONE...the show never goes on without you."
Stern's already arrogant attitude has taken an ugly turn. With Rebirth months away, however, how long will his enraged demeanor last?
