Here are the top stories surrounding Episode 9 of URWL Wrestling...
Emo/Stern Rematch Headlines a Night of Marquee Matches
At Popular Demand 2008, Jaime Emo pulled out another dramatic victory over the bitter, 20-year old Rookie of the Year, Seth Stern. With revenge at stake, Stern looks to stop Emo's momentum from Popular Demand with a victory, which could potentially become the biggest embarrassment in Emo's career should it happen. Regardless of what happens, however, Emo knows that he is now a champion of substance in the URWL with his win at Popular Demand and must maintain his reign in order to become the true face of this league.
Will Akina and Scorpion Truly Meet Under "Mutual Respect"?
Despite his young age and inexperience, Akina showed why he's one of the most mature wrestlers on the roster by offering to support Scorpion in the uncertainty following ScorpbrA's breakup at Popular Demand 2008. But will Episode 9's Hardkore Title match really involve the "mutual respect" Akina expects from Scorpion? No one is sure of the mental state of Scorpion following the embarrassing breakup of ScorpbrA, so any evidence supporting a sort of union between both men is impossible to decipher. Will Scorpion enter another phase of his career in Episode 9 by showing respect toward Akina or linger in self-pity for what his younger brother did at Popular Demand?
North American Championship in Russian Hands as Commander, Kuleshov Continue War
Without a title defense to his name, The Commander left Los Angeles as a disgraced patriot, a man whose national pride and technical wrestling reputation had been scarred by a man with no respect for his country, his achievements or his abilities. The arrogant Aleksandar Kuleshov is the new North American Champion, the first European-born wrestler ever to hold the belt. This situation not only creates a new rift between the West and East, but an unsuitable situation involving a belt symbolizing North America in the hands of a man who doesn't speak the English language. With a win in Episode 9's submission match, The Commander can bring some much-needed natonal pride back to the URWL by restoring the North American Championship to its home continent. However, a loss will not only extend Aleksandar Kuleshov's winning streak but give the new Champion more reasons to brag about his so-called "superiority" to American professional wrestlers.
Merle Junior and Barry White Square Off For Internet Gold
Old friends Barry White and Merle Haggard Junior will meet in Episode 9 with White's Internet Title on the line. This will be Haggard's first singles match since his loss to Aleksandar Kuleshov at Digital Mayhem 2008. Unlike Scorpion and Akina's match, it's a well-known fact that both men have immense amounts of admiration for one another and possess the integrity typical of former URWL Champions. After retaining the URWL Internet Title at Popular Demand with help from Shane B. Perkins, Barry White has, once again, become a factor. However, Perkins's attack after the match has left White in a situation he never thought he'd find himself in. With his envious former protege watching his every move, Barry knows that Episode 9's match will be an important contest and looks to make the most of every opportunity. But will Shane accept such a result?

A rematch of the first-ever Mobster's Ball match that opened Popular Demand 2008, Fusion and Salvatore will meet again in Episode 9 of URWL Wrestling. Salv, however, won't be alone, as the unholy alliance between himself and former URWL Champion !nterogative sets its sights on the Fuse. The last time !nterogative managed Salvatore was in Episode 5, when both men created a handicap scenario to defeat Jaime Emo in the show's main event. Will Fusion be placed under similar circumstances? Fuse got the best of Salvatore in their Popular Demand contest, relentlessly attacking the former URWL Champion with an aggressive yet well-balanced onslaught. As a result, Fusion's career seems to be revitalized. Episode 9 should answer the question of whether or not he can face the nearly insurmountable odds set before him.
Bitter Over PD2008 Voting Result, E.O.E. Gets "First Dibs" on New Tag Champs The Great White North
They've met twice in tag-team competition, three times if you count Popular Demand's Tag Team Turmoil III match. Both teams have split the series 1-1. However, The Great White North won when it mattered the most, claiming the URWL Tag Team Titles from The Downfall Syndicate in TTT3, a result which angered the Experts of Execution. Feeling disrespected, the number one contenders have used their rematch clause to set up an Episode 9 rematch with GWN, a team they had no intention of facing at Popular Demand. With disrespect growing between both teams, Episode 9's contest looks to bring this animosity to a breaking point.

Hog, however, shouldn't underestimate the retuning Perkins, because a long injury often leads to a newfound focus...

Regardless, CobrA soldiers into Episode 9 a changed man, arrogantly moving on with his life. Trent Tail, on the other hand, hasn't lived up to his potential. After stunning audiences at Digital Mayhem 2008 by saving his career in a Match of the Year candidate against Busiwa Tanao, Trent Tail has found himself the victim of two consecutive no-contest draws.
