Chris Jericho involved in fan altercation

Ok this is ridiculous first off. These fans really need to lay off of whatever their smoking or drinking. According to this article: www.pwmania.com/newsarticle.php?page=236110437

Chris Jericho was involved in a physical altercation with several fans while attempting to leave Victoria, British Columbia after a houseshow last night. Several sources are also reporting that a woman who repeatedly lunged at and pushed several times Jericho is pressing charges for assault and battery after Jericho finally punched her.

What do you guys think were Jericho's actions justified as self-defense? Are these the worst so called 'wrestling fans' you've ever seen? And why did the WWE have no security present?

WWE fans are rabid, there's no question about it. Hardcore fans know what these wrestlers go through most of the year and are usually more appreciative of them...but casual fans can get downright ugly. They'd do anything to get their favorite wrestler's attention. It's these people who interrupt Hall of Fame speeches and made the Raw 10th Anniversary Show back in 2003 almost unwatchable.

I have nothing against casual fans. But a few dickheads make it worse for everyone else. Check out the videos on YouTube of candid moments with wrestlers after shows...the fans are all screaming their asses off and trying desperately to get their hands on a wrestler while he or she is simply trying to walk to the car. It makes wrestlers look like assholes, sure, but observe how the fans behave and you'll get an entirely different vibe. Rabid is one of the only words I can use to describe it.

Then again, it's what celebrities face every day while walking outside in Los Angeles or New York...rabid attention from photographers and crazed fans. It's nothing new. But it sure gets ugly some times, and this altercation proves it.

Wow, you can see the women afterwords and she's obviously OK. That guy is a fag, he wasn't insulting Canadians at the house show he was most likly told to say something along the lines of that. Jericho woulda kicked his ass anyways
