ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK: A press conference held this afternoon at URWL HQ (located adjacent to the URWL Arena and one block away from Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, New York) officially confirmed Jaime Emo's #1 Contendership for the URWL Championship, an inevitable occurence that fans around the internet knew was eventually coming after the URWL on YouTube went off the air this past Tuesday. This will be the second time the 26 year-old Emo will fight for the title. The first opportunity came at UNW Digital Mayhem 2003, a three-way match he eventually lost against Anybody Killah and Dynamite Newton. Despite the outcome of his previous title shot, Emo is convinced that this opportunity is just as special as his first.
"Yeah, it's a great feeling," Emo proclaimed. "I know I had some disappointing losses earlier on but I've made the most of my opportunities in the last few events, and that's what really turned things around."
The main question on the minds of the interviewers, though, was why Emo interfered in the Main Event of Episode 3 after !nterogative won by injuring Shane B. Perkins.
"!nterogative has been a sorry excuse for a wrestler recently," said Jaime with a smirk on his face, "because he has made a career on injuring guys the fans respect. When I saw Barry White go down with a neck injury at Asphyxiation, I was stunned...that's when the wheels started turning in my head. I told myself that if !ntero went as far as to harm Shane in that main event, I would interfere. It was a last resort. I have tons of respect for Barry and Shane, and seeing both being injured by this monster was just too much to take. I did what I had to do and I have no regrets."
When asked about Seth Stern, and if he feels any bitterness toward him, Jaime sighed and shook his head. "I have no respect for that man whatsoever," Jaime angrily stated. "He has no care in the world about the wrestling business. He has no regard for the welfare of his opponent, either...I must've been hit fifty times with a ladder at Asphyxiation, and no referee stepped in. The system is freaking broken if a kid like that has so much power after wrestling only a few months."
Finally, when asked about ex-girlfriend Jesse Slash's affiliation with Seth Stern, Jaime muttered, "Jesse who? I didn't need her the first time I challenged for the Championship, why the hell do you think I need her now? Let her suck off Stern all she wants, because, at the end of the day, I'll be the one in the main event."
Emo's newfound focus will be put to the test in Episode 4 as he will team with The Commander to take on !nterogative and Seth Stern, a team that will be managed by Jesse Slash herself. A rumored "Championship for Championship" main event match at the upcoming URWL pay-per-view against !nterogative may also be in Emo's future, but an official announcement for the match will be made when the pay-per-view itself is unveiled to be public during Episode 4 of the URWL on YouTube.
