Anyone else a big hockey video game fan? Apart from wrestling games, these games are the games I purchase the most, simply because I'm a huge hockey fan and have grown up with the game all my life. This year, NHL 09 is offering a never-before-seen mode in all of sports games: an MMO-style mode where you create your own team, recruit players and try to win the internet. EA promises prizes for those who have the best overall record. What prizes? No one knows.
As for NHL 2K9, I'm excited to finally play a hockey game on Wii. Graphics don't look too good, but if it plays as good as, let's say, Tiger Woods 09 does, I'll be playing it all the way until next year.
Hockey video games, in my honest opinion, are some of the best sports games out there. We'll see what game comes out on top.

I have to completly agree with you. I think NHL games are better than wrestling ones in my opinion. All I have to say after that is...

I knew there existed some black players but I have no idea who they are. Seriously, I have no idea who they are or even seen them on tv. I at least know some baseball players without watching baseball, but I have no idea who these nhl guys are at all.

Wow. I bought NHL 09 yesterday and today while i was playing Be A Pro i looked at the NHL transactions and the Capitals signed a Sabrina Ladha who is goalie with an 98 overall and real picture of little girl? Anyone else see this???

She's a girl from the Vancouver Make-A-Wish foundation that they included in the game...they've been doing this for about three years. Luckily, you can edit her ratings before you start your dynasty mode, which I took advantage of...in an extreme case, she won the Hart, Calder, Vezina and Jennings trophies in one year according to a poster on the Operation Sports forums.
