I don't know if anyone has been watching iMPACT for the last two weeks but the TNA has totally gone to far with gimmick killing. I mean it's bad enough they have drug the Macho Man's gimmick through the mud with Jay Lethal. But now their making fun of Stone cold Steve Austin with SHARK BOY! Last week Shark boy came out to a theme very close to Austin's old attitude era one and then used several Austinish moves including the louthez press and the Stone Cold Stunner to win a squash match ,and then to cap it off Sharky scaled the turnbuckle and toasted not with beer but CLAM JUICE before going on a Austin style rant ending with "And thats the bottom line cause Shark Boy said So!"

All I have to say is:
First "Big Fat Oily Guy", now Shark Boy Steve Austin? No wonder TNA's not providing any competition for WWE ratings-wise, they're definitely making asses of themselves. Black Machismo wasn't too bad of a gimmick because Lethal backed it up in the ring but this skewers the once-enigmatic entity known as Shark Boy and makes him...well...stupider, sorry to say. The X Division still, in my honest opinion, is what to watch TNA for, but the recent Dudleys "anti-X-division angle" wasn't helping it out one bit.
It's about time ROH overtakes TNA in terms of prominence...but the recent reign of Takeshi Morishima as champion (never liked the guy's in-ring skills) brought even the pure wrestling of ROH down recently. I'm guessing the industry as a whole is just uninspired at this point in time.

I'm sorry but I must not agree, I am fan of TNA and WWE and most of all Shark Boy...Shark Boy has been doing that gimick since he started, making fun of Stone Cold that is and actually got an okay from WWE when he started because WWE thought it was funny and he wouldn't make it on live/primetime tv. Now that he has and he finally is able to talk in TNA everyone suddenly thinks its horrible...and on another thing, if its so bad why isn't WWE sueing them for it or atleast demanding they stop using it???

It may have been a good idea while Sharky was in the indies, sure, but right now, in a major promotion like TNA, it just comes off as uninspired.
