All right, you know the drill. Any event discussion or spoilers goes in this thread. As always, here come my Production Diaries...
Production Diary (7/22/2008): Every match has been captured. At this point, I only have to work out the pyro intro and whatever wrestler promos I'd like to have in the event. There are many big angles surrounding PD2008, so I'll have to make some decisions as to which angles I should push for in wrestler promos. I'm not sure when the event will be posted at this point, but I definitely have my foot in the door at this point. Editing will begin as soon as I plan out what to do with everything other than matches.

Match 2: "The Cyberpunk" Jesse Slash (C) vs. Cecilia Rincón (URWL Womens' Championship Match)
Don't know why this is so high on the card, but as you know (and you should) that I love womens wrestling. Judging form the last meeting between the two, I think this should be a very heated and stiff match up.
I know that Jesse is going to use her speed and creative moves to get around Cecilia power. this one is going to be a walk in the park.
SO my money is on my girl Jesse Slash to pull out the win and move on to bigger things.
Hey Goldash, What ever happened to the Stern/Slash vs EMO feud?

Jesse's not affiliated with Seth anymore (I'll try to address this in the future). The current Seth/Emo angle basically stems out from the old one, except it's not about a girlfriend anymore, it's basically about their careers after Asphyxiation and just pure hatred for one another.

No way. "YOU HAVE CRABS" is the best. that is the best one for her! kinda of like a KURT ANGLE level type CHANT!
you know a chant that is reserved only for one wrestler.
classic.

Production Diary (7/26/2008): Started editing Episode 8 last night and it's coming along well at this point. I'm pleased to announce that the tag team matches are better this time around, which is a very good thing. However, there will only be two "wrestler promos" in this episode once again. The reason? I still need to get used to the software I use to make them - it's pretty complex and takes a while to make everything look good. When I get some more promo ideas I'll definitely make more of them per episode, but right now I'm only trying some entry-level stuff out with the program. It should get better further down the road in that regard. I'm pretty excited to get these matches out of the way and really open up PD2008 voting. It shouldn't take too long to get out the door compared to Episode 7 (since I know what I'm getting into this time) but, at this stage, I've just begun.

Production Diary (7/31/2008):Every match has been edited except for one (Akina/Tomerka). Promos, videos and the lot haven't been touched at this point. If I could give a ballpark figure on how much longer it'll take until the event's posted...I'd say hopefully by next Saturday or Sunday. Another idea I had was to have a "Popular Demand Preview Show" after the logo and theme voting has closed, just a quick 10 or 20 minute video showcasing all the angles in more detail. I feel that some of you may think the angles haven't been developed enough (with all of the tag matches and all). Well, this preview show will probably be 90% hype and 10% wrestling. I may have an "exclusive" match or two planned for the show, but I'm not quite sure what it (or what they) may be at this point. Think of it as URWL's version of "WWF Metal". I'm probably doing something like this just to pass the time in-between the two weeks I'm setting aside for voting. On a semi-related note, I may be also thinking of doing WWE-styled vignettes before matches for Popular Demand as well (due to no commercial breaks and such) instead of relying on commercial breaks or television-styled features to split up the matches. I may have one or two wrestler promos on that event as well, but I have no idea what they'll be just yet. Also, for those of you that don't know already, I cancelled Asphyxiation 2008 just because I think my URWL production time will be cut down by the time October and BOTP hit. I plan to spend much more time on-campus this year, so it will conflict with the time I have to produce URWL events...meaning I'll have to capture early and space out editing and commentary in order to post events on time. Just so you know, the October date for BOTP and the December date for Discontent are LOCKS. I will make those deadlines to the very best of my ability. By cancelling Asphyxiation, it gives me as much time as possible to not only produce BOTP but also to re-make every URWL wrestler in 2009 and get some new production elements completed (Rush, maybe?) in time for Episode 11, Episode 12 and finally Discontent (which may be posted in-between Christmas and New Year's Day). Whew, I'm probably getting too ahead of myself here but, yeah, that's the URWL's schedule for the rest of the year. And no, there won't be an Inferno match at Discontent...but there may just be a little FHM. And no, I'm not talking about the magazine.

if not the magazine then what? Or having an inferno match and calling it a "Fire Hazard Match"? Or is to "WWE" for your liking?

Production Diary (8/4/2008):[/u] I've been a lazy motherfucker these past few nights, so not a lot of progress has been made since the last time I posted, except for the fact that 75% or so of Wes's intro contains the correct subliminal messages. Akina/Wes will be completed tonight, then I'll get onto the wrestler promos, videos and commercials in the next few days, followed by compiling each of them up into one video, overdubbing PA announcing and finally putting some play-by-play on. My aim is to have the event out the door and for voting to start before Madden 09 comes out. After that, I'll basically hibernate for the two-week PD voting period I have set up. Expect it either this weekend or on Monday, because I'm not planning to work on URWL when I'm supposed to be playing Madden and when you're supposed to be voting for PD matches.

Production Diary (8/14/2008): Compiling has resumed for Episode 8. Not quite sure when it'll finish (I have a few more promos to make) but it'll be done before you know it...I hope.

Production Diary (8/19/2008): I'm looking to start rendering tonight after doing some final touchups on the event. Then, it's on to PA and PBP commentary. At this point, a target date would be sometime this weekend, since university officially starts on Monday. At least that will give me some incentive to get it done.
