Just when I thought everything was under control, something totally unexpected happens... It has come to my attention that more than half of the videos for URWL Digital Mayhem 2008 have stopped streaming on FileFront due to "file inactivity". I recently discovered the reason for this while browsing their forums. Supposedly, after a certain amount of time not being watched, FileFront videos lose their "streamability". Devildrummervold pointed this out to me earlier tonight, thinking I had removed half of the videos from the site. Not the case at all...FileFront basically removed their ability to stream. They can still be downloaded, however... This is leading me now to seek out other options. If this is a fluke and these "disabled videos" are the result of a funny server problem, then it's business as usual. If not... Well, I have other alternatives. I recently signed up for Vimeo.com, a site with great video streaming quality, no time limit and the option to download, much like FileFront has. However, there's a limit of only 500 MB of uploaded video per week, which is a real issue if URWL events exceed that mark. I'm not in the mood to reduce video quality any time soon. I'm also going to check other various sites out for the time being. Our Vimeo site, currently is: vimeo.com/user563206 just in case we do switch. Once again, I don't know if this will be official. I have to make sure the FileFront videos weren't taken down temporarily because of some server problem.

Also, if the FileFront business doesn't work out, I'll probably leave the video files up there just for downloading purposes and either try Vimeo or Google Video in terms of video streaming methods.
The reason why I may be choosing Google Video? OJ-FWA. Their "Yuuki Matsuri 2007" card, all two hours of it, is on Google Video without any interruption. I'm thinking of taking that route at the moment. Vimeo, on the other hand, has a 500 MB limit per week, which may be a pain in the ass if I decide to upload higher-quality videos there. I may just have a "full-res download and temporary stream" at FileFront and then have a full-time stream of the event either at Vimeo or Google Video (where I won't have to break the event up into parts, I can just broadcast it in its entirety).

Just went on Veoh.com, actually...I'm liking it a lot, since there isn't any space or format limitations...I hope. This probably means I may be able to post the next event in some way, shape or form on there. Well, I'll at least weigh my options. There's one definite, though, in this case. For those that want to download Episode 7 only...you can always use FileFront.

No Veoh is pretty much "limitless" I think the time limit is 10 hours on there. At least that is what it was when I signed on about a year ago I use it mainly for watching OLD PPV's and I mean old they've got some NWA events up there. it is a great site although if you don't download "Veoh TV" the videos take a LONG time to buffer through.

Unfortunately it seems like you can't watch the longer videos UNLESS you download Veoh TV. For some reason, I can only view 5 minutes of the full PPV's and events that Veoh hosts (at least on the first TNA event and on one of the ECW Hardcore TV episodes on the site).

Yeah that was one of the reasons I quit using it that Veoh TV took almost 2 days to download and then it said something about compadability problems so I deleted it.

Hey Goldash you may want to check this place out. It looked pretty good at a glance the media player works pretty much like YouTube's www.livevideo.com/

To update the problem on Veoh it appears as long as you are logged into your account and the video is less than 1 hr. in length it will let you watch videos in full without Veoh TV.
