If the title of the topic didn't draw you in, this link definitely will: www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/heyman/article1060395.eceI kind of agree with him about the whole "terrible announcing yields ratings" theory just because of the whole "Adamle replacing JR" thing they pulled on Raw the first week of Regal's "reign". It makes sense, then, that Vince will probably make Adamle's bufoonery his ratings-grabber in order to "save" ECW from mediocity, because according to Heyman's editorial, ratings have gone up for WWECW since Adamle debuted. As sad as it is, as a hardcore wrestling fan, Vince has alienated me once again. |

Wait, you still watch WWECW? Shame on you Goldash. Shame on you. I've read this article when it first appeared and then just imagined how Vince would propose this idea. I'd always do the Vince voice and say something like "Dammit, we need something new for ECW. Lets replace one of the best announcers in wrestling history with an announcer who's bad on purpose. Yeah. I like it dammit!" And everyone in creative just nods and HHH stands to give an ovation to this wonderous idea.

I admit, I admit, I flicked on Sci-Fi for two seconds just to see if they were showing Farscape re-runs and I couldn't help but notice Vince McMahon's "science fiction project" was on instead... ;D

I havent watched WWECW in awhile I am the kind of fan vince Doesn't watch I wont watch the show BECAUSE he is bad ha ha and vince can kiss my ass ^_^ but what is the Sci-Fi Project?

If this actually is a gimmick (a character of an announcer that makes wrong calls on purpose) then it's the most genius thing WWE's done in years...then again, casual wrestling fans don't like it when bookers mess with their heads...

WWECW is gonna get better
apperently Sydal ipressed the powers backstage enough in his match with Benjamin this week that he'll be called up to the ECW roster in a few weeks

WWECW has never been bad, people just dont like because its got the ECW name and doesnt even come close to matching up with old ECW I agree with your statement about ECW sucking because people want the old ECW. The name value does account for the pissy attitudes a whole lot. But ECW did suck from time to time. They book it pretty stupidly on occasions. |
