I'm working on a new fanpost for Cageside Seats (I write there occasionally): things in wrestling that should go away. Here's what I got; feel free to add to it. - The John Cena heel turn prediction. It will never happen. Reason: money. As long as his stuff keeps moving off shelves, WWE won't turn him.
- The gimmick match PPV (other than Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series). It makes said gimmick match feel a lot less special.
- Bischoff and Hogan. They're bleeding money from TNA and the company still produces the same ratings they have before they got there. In other words, they've contributed nothing tangible to their improving product.
- The heel authority figure. Vince McMahon (and maybe Eric Bischoff in the mid-2000s) was pretty much the only one to get it right, because the perception was that was what Vince was like.
- The "What" chant. It's tired. It's a decade old. It's not as funny as it once was.
- The two world title hierarchy in WWE. Since it's one roster again, why does WWE need two world title belts, especially when one means soooooooo much more than the other?

I'm surprised I haven't seen this thread until today.
Overpromoting Social Networking. What does it do apart from making the show seem more popular? What's the point of saying "start the discussion by tweeting with the hashtag: #______"? The only thing it does is increase WWE's social media presence which is already huge to begin with. Unless you're furiously trying to get your thoughts on the occasional "Twitter Ticker", there's not much of a benefit.
Attitude Era / TV14 Marks. It's not coming back unless the business is in truly awful shape. WWE isn't going to change what they're doing anytime soon. Get over yourselves.
