It's about time to open this thread in anticipation for this weekend. And yes, it will be posted this weekend. Despite the new title, this isn't a thread where I will be posting match results early or anything...it's just a place where YOU can post spoilers after the event's posting. It's basically the format of the old "discussion threads". Just to clear things up.

Progress Report #1 (5/14/2008): Every Fans' Choice Awards promo has been completed (there are ten in all - I had to combine two categories). The good thing is, they're pretty in-depth and don't merely announce the winner. There's some pretty substantial information in each video. The only two videos I don't feel good about are the "best promo" and "best entrance/theme music" award videos but there's only so much you can do with those categories.

Also, six seven out of Mayhem's ten matches have been edited as of last night. I haven't put any commentary or ring announcing in yet, but that shouldn't be a problem (I usually record most of my commentary in one or two days depending on my schedule). Without giving too much away, I'm happy to say that Digital Mayhem will be a night of unexpected surprises...but that's all I can say about that.

I'm really liking the graphics for the event, they may be some of our best yet, and utilize a lot of full motion video. I've also been trying to implement some new "live broadcast" features but they're minor for the most part.

This may be our best event yet, but I'll leave that up to you once it's posted. I'll keep you guys posted with more major updates as they come along (if there are any).

Progress Report #2 (5/16/2008 early AM): Every match has been edited with the exception of the first (simply because I usually edit that after the intro is done just to see how much time there will be). There's another "joke intro" this time as well (like the "warning screens" in the past supercards) but now it's gone completely overboard, you'll have to see it to believe it. Let's just say it makes fun of something we all find very annoying but felt was too insignificant at the same time...I still have commentary left to record but that won't be a big deal (I hope). If all goes well tomorrow I may post the first match early but like I said, I'm not sure. It's a long event. The only thing I can see getting in the way of posting events on Saturday however is the NLL Lacrosse Finals (which I will be going to). That's not until 7:30 Saturday night, though, so I hope it doesn't become a big deal. I'll probably do some more commentary on Saturday if I can't finish tomorrow night (I have off from work so it shouldn't be a big deal).

I will post the intro and first match tonight as soon as they are done rendering. I'm not too crazy about the commentary track on it, it's not one of my favorites...I've recorded better commentary tracks since then so hopefully it'll be more pleasing on my end.

That wasn't my poll, it was Main_Event_Quaity's. I doubt he could read my mind about bringing Barry back but who knows.

I'm currently running into MAJOR problems when rendering matches - because of the amount of layers in the namebars, it's taking forever to render. The Rincon/Nakamura match has taken three hours to render (and counting) just because of the namebars. I hope everything can get in on time because this is pretty frustrating.

If anything, this'll teach me to dedicate a few days to pure rendering. Thanks for your understanding in this matter, and I will try my damndest to at least get most of the event up tomorrow. If not I'll have to resort to posting through the week again, which I hate having to do since I want to preserve Mayhem as an event, not a series of matches.

All right, I made a post about this last night but the rendering is driving me up a tree. The Slash/MacDonald match has taken EIGHT HOURS and will take an additional FOUR because of graphics on the screen. I can't run more than one instance of Vegas at a time so it's going pretty bad right now. I'm thinking I'll be posting through Sunday with results like this...plus, I'm going to the NLL Finals tonight so it's probably looking like less matches will be posted tonight than expected. Be patient as always because the event will be worth the wait.

I know the full match hasn't been posted, but the Tanao/Tail match, in my honest opinion, has to be one of the most enjoyable and realistic contests I've ever made in any SVR game. I edited the Tanao/Tail match after I watched the Lance Storm/Chris Jericho match from ECW One Night Stand and I have to admit, it's one of the more enjoyable wrestling matches I've ever produced. It's obviously not as good as that contest was but, for SVR, it's pretty logical (although there are some gaffes here and there but I blame that on the game itself). I'm hoping many of you see eye to eye with me on that after it's finished.

That's the match I want to see too. Having seen the Jericho/Storm match, if you intend to mimic that in anyway you're going to get a great contest. I'm looking forward to it. But I'm going to wait till you post the entire show before watching. I watched the first two matches and I'm sitting waiting for the rest. Not blaming you as I said to myself that I'd wait but that didn't last long. Now I'm just going to be patient.

Don't worry man. I mean, i'm enjoying the next bit going up every few hours, as it gives me something to do throughout the day. Plus it's all worth waiting for...well except the next match I'll be honest I have little interest in. Roll on the Blood invitational!

GReat Event so far. Trent Has a great career ahead of him. BArry returned to glory and AK47 kept his streak alive. Cecilia got her first victory, too. The Women's champoin wasn't fully posted yet.

It's all up now (the 20-Min. Endurance Match for the Womens' Championship). The third part of the match is currently processing, though. It should be up within the next ten minutes I would think.
