Okay, so I've followed CAW Wrestling for many years now, but never actually had the funds/ideas to produce one myself. Recently, I've been itching to put something out there; being inspired by Goldash and the URWL, as well as Rated and his creations for VWA, and many more of course. However, since the release of SmackDown 1 on the PlayStation 1, I have sucked unbelievably at making CAWs. I thought I'd post some images of what I have actually made today, with a small story with them since this is about CAW as a whole, not just how they appear. Hopefully you experienced guys can give me some feedback, advice, let me know what you think and hopefully help me towards creating better CAWs for a project I hope to have ready in the next couple of months. Thankyou and let's get started with Exhibit A of "Lacklustre Creations"... 
| Brad Kane
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 240 lbs
From: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Backstory
From a young age, Bradley Kane showed an interest in MMA-style wrestling and pursued his dream to become an official fighter. However, he was unsuccessful in all of his tryouts. Not letting this deter him, Kane continued to train and decided to take his skills to the professional wrestling scene where he was welcomed with open arms due to his diversity and determination to compete. Although, Kane developed a "look out for number one" attitude, meaning he's not very well received by the fans.

| Castiel
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 182 lbs
From: Parts Unknown
Backstory
A young boy by surname of Castiel, first name unknown. He entered the wrestling business on the independent scene and quickly became a fan favourite with his high-flying offence. Despite his unusual behaviour, unnerving appearance and his apparent obsession with all things dark and gothic, he is well liked by the wrestling community and continues to impress (and weird out) each and every night.

|  | Elijah Kingston
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 233 lbs
From: Nigeria
Backstory
Elijah Kingston used to compete in the wrestling rings of his native country, Nigeria since a very early age. Only recently, Kingston travelled with his family to the United States of America with every intention of making it big. Confident in his ability, he stormed through independent promotions, picking up Championships across the country, but one thing he didn't pick up was the respect of the fans. His confident attitude which often comes across arrogant and cocky made him no friends, only enemies. The Nigerian native cares not for the love and respect of the fans and believes they should be honoured to watch him at work.

Height: 6'3"

From: Des Moines, Iowa
Backstory
Nothing more than a wrestling fan chasing his dream. Being blessed with the right build, charisma and attitude, Lance Page was an instant hit in the wrestling industry. Realising that wrestling is just as much, if not more about the fans than it is about the wrestlers, he appreciates every person who chants his name when he's in the ring performing. Page is forever looking to improve on his craft, training regularly. His skill set of powerhouse and technical moves makes him the perfect wrestler, but he is determined to continue to improve.

| Protection
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 260 lbs
From: Huntsville, Alabama
Backstory
It's no secret that this man is no expert technician, and you won't see him flying off the top rope, but what he lacks in wrestling ability, he makes up for in brute strength and intelligence. Starting out as a bouncer for various nightclubs, this monster of a man was scouted by a local wrestling promoter who claimed he could make a shed load of money in the wrestling business. He took up the offer and quickly made an impact in the ring, breaking his opponents with ease, halting their offence at the sound of the opening bell. Seeking a bigger pay-off, he began putting himself up for hire, acting as a bodyguard for many wrestlers, with much success. He is a man of very few words and does his talking in the ring, but it is obvious that this money-fuelled individual cares only about the mighty dollar. This monster brings new meaning to the phrase "always use Protection".

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 234 lbs
From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Backstory
Who doesn't love a good patriotic gimmick? A young man who loves nothing more than to make his country proud. Hailing from Toronto, Reid began his journey to becoming a wrestler after witnessing WrestleMania X8 in his hometown, more determined than ever to live his dream and become just like the men he idolised - namely Edge and Christian. Donning the patriotic attire, plastered with his native Canadian flag, it's hard for the fans not to love this talented star and respect his pride for his country.

Elijah Kingston is clearly the most impressive of the bunch to me. The name isn't that unique, but the CAW certainly is.
I also liked the way you presented this showcase. Looking forward to see where this evolves. Also moving this to the "Your CAWs" board as it fits that category better.

You did a really great job here, Elliot. Enjoyed the backstories and am really impressed with the morphing you displayed. You have a good base here, so I'll be interested in seeing how these characters evolve over time.
From my experience, there's no real need to make the designs of your characters super-complex at first. You can add more nuance to their attires as you go. Progression is important, so keep carrying on and work your way forward from this point as you get more familiar with different ways of carrying out your ideas. Looking forward to what the future brings!

I saw this topic alittle bit ago and I am just coming across to commenting on it now, so I will apologize for my delayed response.
I will have to agree with Rated and Devil on this, Elijah overall has the better look to me out of the people showcased, and his morphing is superb. I too like how you set this out, might have to steal it *Nudge Nudge*.

First of all, I just want to say a big thankyou for the kind comments from you all. It really motivates me to actually get this under way and into production. I've got another batch of five unique characters for you to feast your eyes on, and I hope they are as well received as the previous six. Without further ado - batch number two! 
| Cooter Hayes
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 233 lbs
From: The Old Country
Backstory
I think everybody looks out into the countryside and imagines that somewhere out there is a farm, and on it live a mild minded, overall wearing family enjoying the peace and quiet in the middle of nowhere. Well, imagine no more, because this man embodies that stereotype. Growing up on a farm in an isolated patch of land, Cooter Hayes was enjoying his farmyard life. One Christmas, their family got their first TV (albeit many, many years after everybody else) and Hayes became amazed by the WWE legend, Hillbilly Jim. Hayes now knew that anything was possible and left home in hopes of becoming just like his idol. Unfortunately, poor Cooter didn't understand that Hillybilly Jim was just a gimmick, and so he continue to wrestle in his overalls, maintaining his background. He is widely known for his reckless style and his lack of care for himself or his opponent. Being one sandwich short of a picnic was probably the best thing to happen to Cooter's career.

| Harry Prior
Height: 6'2"

From: Long Beach, California
Backstory
Taking an interest in wrestling from an early age, this young star began training on his 16th birthday. Now at the age of 24, he has finally broke into the business. It's any wonder he actually managed to focus long enough to get here, because it's no secret that he's a hit with the ladies. Regularly visiting the beach to partake in his other favourite hobby, surfing, Harry Prior is always garnering the attention of the people around him. He hopes that he will be just as attention-grabbing in the ring as he strives to become #1 and impress all his fans (and ladies).

| Jensen Clarke
Height: 6'2"

From: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Backstory
If there had to be only one word to describe this individual, it would be egomaniac. There isn't anybody on the planet who gives this guy more praise than himself. Obviously, this instantly makes him one of the most hated stars on the roster, but you cannot deny his superb wrestling ability. Although he could infuriate even the calmest of people with the way he flaunts his talent around. He is known for his arrogance, and his confidence in the ring, but the negativity towards him doesn't bother him one bit. Boo him? He'll ask you for more. Fire insults at him? He'll laugh in your face. Throw garbage at him? He'll probably sign it and then throw it back. As far as he's concerned, he's the top guy in the business, and nobody can dethrone him.

| Monty Jones

From: Portland, Oregon
Backstory
A former football player in his own right, Monty Jones was always built to be a wrestler, and like many wrestlers before him, he came right from the football field to the wrestling ring. Training to become an in-ring competitor only took a few years to accomplish for this bright, young star and he has already turned some heads with his impressive ability. At 6 foot 4, and 240 pounds, he is a powerhouse machine ready to run down his opponents, and using the fans cheers as his fuel. Jones has openly admitted that while he may be a nice guy, when he's in the ring, it's all business, and he won't be pulling any punches against anyone.

| SHORAI
Height: 5'11"

From: Osaka, Japan
Backstory
The word "Shorai" is Japanese for "future", and there aren't many people that would argue that this man isn't the future. Hailing from Osaka, Japan, SHORAI has already made a name for himself in his home country, wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling and many other Japanese promotions before eventually coming here to the States. His skill set is so varied that it is virtually impossible to prepare for a match against this Japanese star. He's not flashy, he's not all about the glitz and the glamour, this man means business. Once you step into the ring with SHORAI, you should never take your eyes off him, because before you know it, you could be on your back, out cold, courtesy of one of his ridiculously powerful kicks. It's common knowledge that the Japanese are known for their unique wrestling styles, and SHORAI is no different.

Maybe because I've always been a fan of arrogant douchebags in wrestling, but I really like the backstory, morphing and the simplicity of Jensen Clarke's attire. You seem to have some very diverse characters, which is good because some CAW leagues now really don't have that (I'll be charged guilty with that). Can't wait to see your tag teams.

Okay, so I've designed an arena. It's very minimal, but that's how I like it. I didn't want anything fancy, since it's meant to be an upstarting wrestling company without an unlimited budget. Hopefully it's well received.   |
