This documentary was a joke, honestly, one that preys on the ignorance of the people watching. I think its message was seriously flawed from the start. So it didn't surprise me that the filmmaker turned out to be as much of an attention-seeker in real life as he was in this video.
Here he is in "Kony 2012" saying that he wants his child free from the influence of "bad men" like Joseph Kony. But what about the influence of a man unwilling to control himself in public places? Yes, Kony's actions are beyond reprehensible, but what about the actions of the filmmaker himself?
Something to think about, at least...

One of my friends owns a non-profit organization that goes to Uganda to help. He volunteered for Invisible Children in the past, he says the group is corrupt. They spend almost all of the money donated on personal videos like this to promote themselves. The little money spent actually in Uganda is spent on unnecessary things. Good message, not the right group to take credit though. Plus, the whole Kony thing is much better today than it has been in the past.
