Anonymous went all out and DDoS'd several government and media corporation websites after this happened yesterday. This is not going to end well on either side of the conversation.

The Anonymous-led shutdowns could very well give ammunition to pro-SOPA/PIPA lobbyists. On the other hand, you can bet Anon. will undoubtedly ramp up its intensity and frequency if SOPA and/or PIPA ends up passing.

This whole ordeal is beginning to get ugly, and I wouldn't be surprised if things begin to get worse if these bills pass. These next few weeks are CRUCIAL for the future of the internet. People need to be informed of these developments as much as possible, as it will undoubtedly affect our freedom of expression online.
