Ever wanted a chance to see what URWL wrestlers looked like in the text-based era? Well, I'm digging through the archives and this is what I found: !NTEROGATIVE: WES TOMERKA: VICTOR CORDARO: SHANE B. PERKINS: FUSION:
And now, some non-wrestler pictures from the text-based era: Our final website design before we closed (as the UNW) in June of '03. This was basically the background of the page. The links on the side were made into...well, links...in Dreamweaver, for example. A couple of ring shots from Poser 4. If we were running on an MDickie or Fire Pro game (and not on SVR) we'd be doing something similar to this. We had a rotating splash page idea on one of our old websites. This was one of the images. Once again, it's from Poser 4.
I may post more images up later but for now, enjoy. BY THE WAY, I just found the old "A Brief History of the URWL" video with most of these old images and I may re-post that again somewhere in the near future.

!nterogitive looks like a retarded monkey man lol what were those made with? The wrestlers were made with Poser 4, a 3D modeling program a lot of e-feds used to use in the time the URWL was running as a text-based promotion. As you can tell by the SVR CAWS, I wanted to stick to these designs as much as possible to retain some familiarity for those who kept track of the league back in the day.

I actually wondered how this looked back in the day. It's intersting. Man, Fusion looks gay. And I think !nterogative needs to take a urine test. Boy is he much bigger now. That's 30 days off.

The Shane B. model in the last image (doing the flying headbutt) does look a lot like Carl Lewis, come to think of it. I just hope he didn't do a lame ass music video while looking like that....
@main_Event: OK, well, I didn't want them to be exact replicas. !ntero was always designed as a hulking beast. In most cases, I'd just use his head since his body type in the poser images isn't anything to write home about. You can vaguely see some resemblance, though, not only with !nterogative but with the other wrestlers I featured in this thread.
