Woke up this morning and watched this. Great match. But...
*spoiler alert*
I hated the ending.
Stupid, stupid referee. Grrrr...
I look forward to what I can see from both those men.

The pacing of the match was awesome...it was like a good tone-setting opening match to any typical card. Quick, but with good action and some excellent spot from each man. Imara looks like she's definitely gonna be a difference maker for her man...but will that come back to bite him?
The Scouting Reports and Fact Facts are an awesome little touch as well, I may have to implement that some way into my show...cuz it's just plain cool, hehe.

I loved it, but it was kind of odd to see so much interference right in the eyes of the referee. The pacing was amazing, and the character detail given before the match was a big plus. All and all, I liked it. I did, however, think the child soldier gimmick was a bit odd, but it was pulled off in a manner that made it watchable.

With effort on my end I finally got to see the match and heck, IMO this one has beaten Thanksgiving Throwdown. The graphics were a lot better than I expected (considering the progress updates). I really liked the presentation and features, specially the pre-match transition showing both wrestlers. As for the match itself, the pace was great, quite good for two debuting rookies.
Thanks for the heads up on the PT logo.

OK, a Community/Donald Glover presence on the Rantboard is officially the best thing to ever happen to these forums. To answer a few questions: The whole Kony fiasco had a bit to do with it, but I wanted to create a (heel) African wrestler based in fact and not the silly Kamala, Saba Simba or Prince Nana caricatures that often litter wrestling today. Plus, I don't think it's often you get characters who are convicted murderers in wrestling, I thought it'd be interesting to try and I can't wait to get his career off the ground --- that is, if I have the time. Imara Nyoka will see solo competition in the Womens' Division, yes. That's one of the reasons I brought her in --- my whole idea from 2010 on was to expand the womens' (and eventually the tag) roster, so she will become a full-time wrestler in that division along with Suicida and whatever other girls I bring in... The ending came with technical problems of its own and I wish I could've edited it better. I ended up pausing at the wrong time and had to re-do the spot a few times, so I ended up editing together a few actions to create the end result --- that's why some of the pacing was wonky and such. Also, from a producer's perspective, I had nearly an hour of footage out of a simple five minute match. I know it looks better to all of you, but I think I'm going into Highlight Reel a bit too much. This match is going to be a barometer for the rest of the Highlight Reel stuff I do from now on, as I need to find a balance between good looking and something that doesn't give me a headache in production. You're welcome. NOW WHERE ARE THOSE eMATCHES? (I kid, I kid. Take your time, man.)

Love the look of the new graphics. Same program as before? Moved to the Spoilers/Discussion thread as it has to do with the reaction to the match/video. Still used After Effects for the graphics but wanted to do a more minimalistic/basic look based on the DVR promo. It won't be like this for upcoming shows although I may try things on this theme for RUSH (whenever that happens).
