I was planning on purchasing Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, which was recently released in the US exclusively on the PS2. This may take some time to put together, because I currently don't have a PS2, but I was planning on borrowing one from a friend just to play this game.
Keep in mind that these "exhibition matches" will still contain our trademark graphics, features and commentary although it's in the 2D Fire Pro engine instead of in the 3D SVR 2008 engine.
Hit me back and tell me if this is worth a try or not.

So, IMO, no.
URWL is a high-quality fed, like you said, to keep it realistic. You can also do some matches in FPW of course, but continue with 360 and SvR2008.

I bought the game tonight but I'll wait until I get a few more responses before I try anything.
Once again, I want to use this for SINGLE MATCHES ONLY and not entire cards. The only reason I was considering this is because the Fire Pro series, despite being 2D, is probably the game that most accurately resembles the flow of professional wrestling matches.
At this point, I will continue to post in SVR 2008, I just wanted to experiment a bit with the Fire Pro series just for fun.
If this becomes a big issue to you guys, I'll either post the videos on my normal "Goldash007" YouTube account or just abandon the idea altogether.

I don't mind. I say go ahead and do it it but just as long as it has nothing to do with the current stories. Have fun with it but don't entwine it with what's happning when you use SvR 2008. I vote yes but note that I don't want it involved in current stories. I don't think it should even affect rankings or records. Having said that, have a blast and post interesting matches.

I don't know if you have ever heard of the BCW, it's a CAW league on YouTube that has matches from SD 08 and Fire Pro. I find it annoying how they go back and forth with the games in their show. If they picked one game it would be alright. Take a look at it if you wish to see whether or not you think it's a good idea to incorporate Fire Pro into the URWL.

I actually gave my copy of Fire Pro to VinceNeil1981 (he just bought a PS3) so I won't be doing any URWL FPR videos anytime soon.
