Greetings, Rantboarders,
I'm back from another one of my infamous Rantboard hiatuses, but now that I've returned, here's yet another progress thread outlining what's to come. However, this time I'm going to need your help to solve some of our most pressing issues.
Starting today, I'm going to initiate more viewer interaction to the URWL, most importantly a new subforum to our already existing Feedback Forum made up of polls to measure your reaction to the show as it stands. The "Direct Viewer Reaction" forum will be a way for me to gauge just what everyone's enthusiasm level is around here. This forum will be promoted on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter so that I can attempt to have our viewing audience as engaged as possible...not only to bring back some enthusiasm here at the Rantboard but to help me understand what I can do better.
I'll be as direct as possible with my questions, and your replies and harshest criticism is strongly encouraged. The questions I ask will run the gamut from production to the waits to the cards themselves. As soon as I finish this post, the forum will launch, so feel free to head on over and participate in the polls.
You can access the forum by clicking this link: urwlrantboard.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dvr . All of your help and suggestions are highly appreciated!
Additionally, I am pleased to announce an official affiliation between the URWL and the Virtual Wrestling Association, VWA. Like the URWL, VWA is committed to preserving authenticity and realism in CAW wrestling and thanks in no part to the support and enthusiasm of owner Tiago Oliveira (ratedrkaze), we are proud to host the official VWA forums here as part of the Rantboard CAW Community. Their subforum will be launched very soon, and I am continuing to find unique ways for their info to be integrated noninvasively.
I understand this official affiliation may be a controversial decision for fans of the show, but it is a move that will benefit the futures of both of our leagues. Rated's enthusiasm for the URWL is second to only myself and Vince, and given his history as owner of OCS, I'm certain he will bring a level of professionalism and maturity to the position.
In closing, my next URWL-related project will be the second URWL exhibition match on WWE '12, then it'll be back to work on HighStakes. Also, expect a (slightly) tweaked Rantboard design and a similar design overhaul to our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
As mentioned before, the URWL's production in Season 3 will switch to more of a sports-inspired style. This influence will only expand as we post more shows, but it will still be a wrestling show at heart. I will attempt to pursue new, creative ways of presenting our content and providing you with some of the highest quality wrestling available, regardless of wait.
With this post, I'm not nailing down concrete dates or making promises I won't be able to keep. I just wanted to let you all know that within my own crowded schedule, I am still thinking of the URWL. And I will do my damndest to make sure it stays that way.
As I've always seemed to say, stay tuned...the URWL's future, clouded as it may be, is about to look up.
