Based on fan voting and a one-vote winning margin, the first match in WWE '12 will pit former Rookie of the Year Seth Stern against former undefeated URWL Champion !nterogative in what promises to be a dream match between two of the URWL's most hated talents.
This match, despite being an exhibition, will count against both wrestlers' win/loss records as much as a normal match would. It will feature commentary, editing and graphics, but not on the level of a huge undertaking like UA or even HighStakes. It will reuse namebars from Unrivaled Ambition, for instance.
This is meant to be a gift for the URWL watchers who have waited patiently over the last long while and as a "bridge" of sorts between HighStakes and our appearance at CAW[N]SPIRACY. This will also be an anomaly since it will not only temporarily switch games, but also video formats. This event will be posted in 1080p High Definition despite HighStakes and CAW[N]SPIRACY using SVR2011 and 480p SD/720p HD, respectively.
Anyhoo...Happy Thanksgiving, fellow Rantboarders. You deserve it.

Even through I don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here, it's always good to see new URWL videos on my sub box. Can't wait for !ntero vs. Stern.

Some technical problems involving files in Avid Media Composer (which I'm practically learning on the fly) has pushed back production a few nights. I literally spent close to 36 hours figuring out just what happened and it wasn't without research and experimentation that I finally found the answer...it involves Avid magically dropping and removing files from my scratch disc directory, leading to a disconnection within the program. This literally happened out of the blue and almost led me to recapture the match entirely. Luckily, I was able to find the files on my primary hard drive in a seemingly randomly created directory separate from my normally assigned scratch disc on my second hard drive. This was a strange, isolated incident that I couldn't find any leads on, but I can attribute it to something that is likely a bug in the new Media Composer 6.0, and we all know how buggy new software tends to get. I know the program has a tendency to bypass Apple's Trash bin while deleting files, so I feared that was the case until I found the appropriate MXF files hiding somewhere else on another hard drive.
In other words, yes, another show of mine has been delayed. I don't like it, but you have to roll with the punches in this situation. Expect a high quality show when it does get posted.
