GLENDALE, ARIZONA: A frustrated Jaime Emo saw his hometown turn upside down on Super Bowl Sunday, as the Giants' miraculous upset over the previously-undefeated New England Patriots was the talk of the town since Sunday. Now that the players and coaches have long left the field, Glendale's most famous wrestler wished another upset had happened: a win against URWL Champion !nterogative. Emo, who sat in a boxed seat at University of Phoenix Stadium, said the game was only temporary relief from the feelings he had to endure after Discontent.
"All throughout the game, I thought of what might have been. When I saw Eli Manning hoist the Lombardi Trophy over his head, something came over me. I realized just what ambition meant. Like Eli, I defied the odds at Asphyxiation. Fans thought I was the biggest man in the company after I grabbed the URWL Internet Title from above the ring last June...but at Discontent, I failed every single one of them. I lost the Internet Title. I lost the match."
However, after viewing Super Bowl XLII, Emo felt a new feeling arise in him. Something he had been missing since !nterogative and Salvatore attacked him after the lights went out at Discontent: restless determination.
"After the game ended, it dawned on me. I can't stand here worrying about what I've become. I have every opportunity in the world to give the fans what they wanted to see all along: the URWL Championship in my hands. Manning, Plaxico and the Giants pulled the upset against the undefeated Patriot machine, and now it's time I do the same to the undefeated !nterogative. He hasn't won cleanly since Episode 2, Goldash. His record is stained with the blood of his opponents, including mine. And it's high time I take my name off the 'victim' list and become the first man atop the 'winner' list against this bastard."
However, for Salvatore, Jaime had much harsher words.
"Salvatore...you and I weren't familiar with one another in the old UNW days, but you felt the need to come back and ruin my chance for the biggest prize this organization has to offer. You're a heartless man, Salv. You never gave a care about the business or the fans. You only care about the gold. Because of that, I aim to take that gold off of you as soon as possible. You want a match for Episode 5? Fine. I'll send it to the booking staff. Just don't expect this to be the only match we'll have together. You spoiled my victory and you will pay dearly for it."
Finally, as the interview ended, Jaime assured me one thing. "At Digital Mayhem, expect a URWL Championship match involving myself and !nterogative in the main event. If !nterogative has any guts, he'd accept. After all, it's the URWL's signature pay-per-view event."
