Kondori here, thought a formal update regarding /w/JPW has been long overdue for a while now.
As you all may know, our last showing, the blockbuster Rassuru Kingudamu in Tokyo Dome, was back in late September of last year, and very little in the way of such has been released since then. Our aim was to move forward from there and continue to broadcast and release /w/JPW events on a regular monthly basis, however production issues and the like have put the show on halt for a considerable amount of time. Rest assured, /w/JPW is merely going through a hiatus and re-evaluation period right now given developments over the past few months, and upon our return will resume bringing you some of the very best in virtual puroresu.
Our next official event will be the same as intended: The New Boginning, a dual-night event planned to be hosted in two different venues. Though information regarding Night 2 cannot be disclosed at this moment in time, I can officially confirm the main event of Night 1 will indeed be as the aftermath of Rassuru Kingudamu's main event implied: The newly re-christened Spear Copeland, now performing under the name Ace Kaplan vs. Chris Hero for the 大WGP Openweight Championship* (formerly known as the 大麻WGP Heavyweight Championship**). With Chris Hero making his presence known at Rassuru Kingudamu having associated with the collective of outsiders who refer to themselves as ANARCHY-gun, the group who attacked The Undertaker and Kaplan over the course of the event, Hero looks to stake his claim to Kaplan's title after being one of two men to defeat him during 2013's G/wooo/ne Climax. Will Kaplan be able to overcome another hurdle from his past? Only time will tell when these two collide. More details regarding the match cards to follow. The official dates of both nights of The New Boginning remains TBA at the point of this update, though /w/JPW promise to make the announcement as soon as everything is cleared.
In other news, /w/JPW have recently agreed to appearing on another /wooo/-based event named Swervivor Series, in a special cross-promotional showcase match against opposing promotion /wooo/ Is War, where both shows have selected 3 of the best talent each have to offer to represent themselves in a 6-man Elimination Tag Match to determine brand supremacy on /wooo/. It will be /w/JPW's Ace Kaplan, Moonlight Driver & Stannis the Mannis vs. Desperado, Raul Muta & Mojo Jojo, the trio collectively known as the New Age Buttholes: former winners of the 2012 King of Threesomes Tournament, and regular mainstays within the /wooo/ Is War roster since then. I myself have been invited to provide special guest commentary for the match. Though a broadcast date cannot be determined at this time it is currently estimated to take place before The New Boginning, and as such this shall be marked as /w/JPW's first official outing since Rassuru Kingudamu, and despite not having the home-field advantage, we promise to continue to prove to all at Swervivor Series why we are indeed, and still, the premier promotion on /wooo/. Stream date and location of the event will be posted here once officially made known.
That's all I can reveal for now. More updates to come in the following weeks. In the meantime, take our announcements as a notice: /wooo/ Japan Pro Wrestling isn't dead. We're just getting started.
