Ever since Takedown 30, DCA has been looking to retune its foundation, under the new command of both Joshua Bishop, Director of Wrestling Operations, and DWall, founder of the Destiny Championship Alliance. And ever since, they have worked to maintain order within the company, even going so far as to fire Shazine Fria, relieve Richard Silvia from his duties on the Board of Directors, and making sure that the entire Board is switched around completely with a new focus and attitude. And all of this while trying to keep the quality and focus that DCA started with in the beginning. On DCA Takedown Episode 31, more steps will be taken in that journey toward the first DCA CPV of the “Joshua Bishop Era”, Zero Hour, and Bishop has promised that he will do anything it takes to make this the beginning of a new journey in the company.
“There have been a lot of people in the past who have either taken advantage of the company, tried to run it into the ground, or didn’t run it the way it should be.” Bishop said in a recent interview. “But I believe in DCA and I believe in the talents in the back who bust their asses night in and night out to entertain the audiences that they perform for. And mark my words, like I said on Episode 29, this will be a new era. And with me running the ship to the promised land, we will show that DCA is about to take over and we are about to show everyone who we really are. And if you don't believe me, or in my ability to run this place, go back and see Takedown 30 and IPW Iconic Revolution. That's all the proof you need.”
One person who isn’t happy with Bishop however is Zach Stone, who believes that he was screwed out of what he says is his rightful DCA Championship match, after Bishop put him in a match with Atlas Jones on Episode 29, with the winner facing then champion John Blackrose on Takedown 30. In a recent interview, Zach voiced his frustration as well as his thoughts on his upcoming match with Takeru on Episode 31:
“Yeah I’m pissed off! That lousy excuse of a General Manager or whatever he wants to call himself not only screws me out of a title shot, but then calls me out on not proving myself AND THEN puts me in a match with a minor league, second rate, never will be named Takeru. Well Josh, how about this. On Episode 31, after I snap Takeru’s leg in two, will I have proven myself then? Because after I do that, I’m going to face Atlas Jones again. And this time, I will make sure that I not only get MY title, but I will make sure that Atlas never walks again!”
But another thing to look forward to is the upcoming first episode of DCA Wildcats, featuring the greatest women’s wrestlers in Virtual Wrestling today. And the first show will mark the beginning of a tournament to crown the next challenger to the new Women’s Champion, Morgan Reincroft, who has been undefeated since Firestorm back in September of last year. At first, there were eight women scheduled to be in the tournament. But now, rumors are circulating that there will be SIXTEEN women in this tournament, all featuring new and recent talent on the Wildcats roster. No news about the participants in the tournament have been given yet, but the first eight in the tournament will compete on the first episode.
Finally, the confirmed card so far for DCA’s next CPV, Zero Hour, is Evan O’Shea will face Smokey, and Atlas Jones defending his newly won DCA Championship. On the next Episode of Takedown, we will hear from Joshua Bishop on who the next challenger will be at the event for the title.
(Also guys, a little off the record, I’ve been dealing with personal issues and have been taking some time to myself for a little bit which is why DCA isn’t getting out as fast as I want it to be. Also, my game’s data corrupted for the second time, so I guess it makes my hiatus a lot longer haha. But I do have some CAWs remade and re-downloaded so expect some exclusive matches in the next few days while I recollect myself physically and mentally. And I know this may not be the place for it, but any well wishes would be appreciated. DCA isn’t going away. It’ll be back. Slowly, but surely. Thanks everyone. –DWall)
