TAMPA, FL - Today, in the wake of the happenings of episode 13 of SWF ReVenge, Jackie Blue made a blockbuster announcement regarding the main event of the next show, to be held in Tampa.
"I think I speak for all SWF fans when I say that the rivalry between Pouncy and Juan Valderaz has been one of the most visceral of the year," Blue said at a press conference this morning. "That being said, I think it deserves a great ending. So... in what will be the LAST match between these two men for the season, the United States Championship will be defended in a no disqualification match on episode 14 of ReVenge!"
When asked why she was making the match a no disqualification match, Blue simply said that it was to "ensure that there is no question as to the result."
Many sources outside of the SWF believe that this is a ploy by the general manager to try and distract from a move that has not been popular with the fans, the unexpected stripping of the Femme Tag titles from the Wild Roses on episode 13. When asked about this, Blue refused to comment, saying, "What's done is done. I am moving on to present our fans with a great main event in the lead up to High Stakes, and I hope they can do the same."
This will mark the fourth one on one meeting between Pouncy and Valderaz this season. Valderaz holds a commanding 3-0 lead, having bested the former United States Champion after taking his brother Kirby out at Fanning the Flames. Many attribute Pouncy's lack of success against Valderaz to his mixed emotions at having his brother hospitalized and his girlfriend, Femme Division superstar Carmen Madison, accosted by Valderaz at every turn. That is, until episode 13, when Pouncy appeared out of the crowd and nailed Valderaz with the Sweet Serenade, standing over him as the show ended.
