Hello everyone! It’s that time again! Alan Marks and Jeff Santos are here to bring you their insights and predictions into what will happen at Uncivil Dispute! The SWF comes into Denver, Colorado with all cylinders firing, and UD features some absolutely ridiculous matches that are sure to be crowd pleasers. We have the drama of Kizzar and Knight, the expected brutality of Arcanum and Powers, and the crown jewel of the night, Andrews and Pirtle. So, without further ado, on to the matches!
----------
#1 Contenders Match
Smokin’ Aces vs Big D and T-Roc
At Fanning the Flames, the Smokin Aces were all set with a tag team title shot when Big D and T-Roc reared their heads and took LeGalley out of the match, leaving his partner Jay Curry alone against the tag champs. Big D & T-Roc said they took exception to a “thrown together tag team” being placed above them in the rankings, and immediately began campaigning for a title shot. Jackie Blue, sensing this was an issue that could easily get out of hand, booked the match.
Marks: This will be a fun tag match. The Aces have a chip on their shoulder, looking to make Big-D and T-Roc eat their words. Big-D and T-Roc are looking to re-establish themselves as the true definition of a tag team, and from what I’ve seen, they are. They’ve been doing this tag game longer than the Aces and I think that will help them out here. The Aces are good and I want them to stay as a team, but I just can’t say they have the experience needed for the victory.
Santos: I agree with Marks. The Smokin Aces are possibly the future of the SWF, but I don’t know that they can make up for their lack of experience here. I say Big D & T-Roc win, and we have them facing the Devil Dogs at Game Over.

SureShot Contract
Alex Knight v Mike Kizzar
Over the last month, the Repeat Offenders have been gaining strength, ever since their big showing at Fanning the Flames. At the head of that offensive is Alex Knight, who took his victory over Kizzar in Phoenix and managed to parlay it into a shot at Mike’s SureShot contract, which grants the holder an SWF title shot at any point up to Mind Games 8. With Knight’s partner John Pirtle up for the SWF title later in the night, the implications for this match are great. Can Knight repeat his success from last month?
Marks: We’ve seen these two go toe to toe a lot these past few months and it culminates here. Knight has been involved in the Sureshot picture since Kizzar captured it last year, but now he wants it for himself. My instincts tell me that Knight will take it, but Kizzar has proven that he’s tough if anything, able to endure extreme matches only to make a comeback and pull out the victory. My only concern is that if Kizzar gets too emotional in this, he’ll make a mistake and Knight will capitalize. Expect these two to go to war on each other before Knight hits the Knightfall for the pin and win.
Santos: It’s difficult to call this one. On one hand you have Alex Knight. It would be an understatement to say he’s been on a hot streak, especially since joining the ranks of the Repeat Offenders. On the other, you have Mike Kizzar. You can’t overlook the fact that, in order to win that contract in the first place, Kizzar had to beat some top level competition, ending with Knight’s new mentor himself. I think last month we got a taste of what these two will do in the ring, and with the stakes raised, it will only be better. They’re a dead heat on paper, so I’ll just go with my emotion and say Kizzar needs to win this, if only to ensure himself the title shot he earned at Mind Games 7.

United States Championship
Juan Valderaz vs Pouncy
The issue between Valderaz and Pouncy is somewhat deceiving. To Pouncy at least, it seems as though he only wishes to avenge his brother Kirby, who lost to Valderaz at Fanning the Flames in an Inferno match and has yet to resurface. However, it seems Valderaz has manipulated Pouncy into this title shot, using his emotions against him. In fact, with Valderaz, it’s difficult to tell whether this was the plan after all. Can Pouncy regain control of his emotions and show the world why he’s the United States champion, or will Valderaz walk out victorious yet again?
Marks: Two veterans of the SWF locking up for the title. This has the makings of a great match and I am excited to see where these two go. Lately though, Pouncy has been a little… shall we say… distracted by his partner turned girlfriend, Carmen Madison, and I think the distraction might prove to be his downfall. He claimed last week that he was focused, but I’m not buying it. Then you have Juan Valderaz in the other corner, the man who I thought was doomed to an early exit from the season last month, coming off an epic match with Pouncy’s big brother, Kirby. Juan has shown he can tangle with the best and I feel that this is actually a bit of a step down for him, a simple singles match (without fire, hopefully) facing a distracted and emotional Pouncy. I’m taking Juan as the new US Champion.
Santos: To say I expected Valderaz to come out of that Inferno match would be a lie. I don’t think anyone was prepared for what happened. That being said, Valderaz seems to be in firm control of this rivalry, manipulating Pouncy into facing him in an emotional state. If Pouncy can clear his head of both his brother’s condition and his girlfriend’s problems with Jennifer Baxter, he can definitely beat Juan Valderaz. I don’t think Valderaz is going to let him forget either though, and an emotional Pouncy is a losing Pouncy. Valderaz leaves champion.

Femme Tag Team Championship
Carmen Madison & Jennifer Baxter v The Wild Roses
With the True Blood Coalition out of the picture and Jen Martin still injured from an attack a few weeks ago, the Femme tag scene is somewhat sparse. Entered into that is the unlikely team of Jennifer Baxter and Carmen Madison, two women who don’t exactly see eye to eye, due to their relationship with Pouncy. Baxter seems to be blackmailing Madison into this match, so it would make sense that she wouldn’t be completely into it, but will the promise of gold bring Madison around, or can the Wild Roses retain against yet another challenge?
Marks: Okay, I’m not sure what Blue was thinking with this match and I know that more people will be watching this to see if Baxter and Madison can even survive another round of working as a team, but why do that at the expense of the Femme tag titles? I personally think that Baxter and Madison need to settle things between each other in the ring, but since that won’t happen tonight and Madison is too nice to just feed Baxter to the Roses, there will be a little bit of a match, but the Roses will retain. Simple as that.
Santos: Obviously, the story here isn’t so much the Femme Tag titles as it is whether or not Madison and Baxter can co-exist long enough to give the champs a challenge. I personally think Madison will put aside her differences with Baxter long enough to make a serious run at the belts, but the lack of a teamwork dynamic really almost makes this into two handicap matches happening at the same time. And if I know Machen, she’ll take advantage of that. I expect the Wild Roses to retain.

No Disqualification Match
Josh Arcanum vs Jason Powers
Ever since Josh Arcanum made his debut in the SWF, there’s been one man who wasn’t happy about it, and that man is Jason Powers. When Powers was behind the announcer’s table, he would take shots at Arcanum, questioning his talents. It appears however that their issues have finally spilled into the ring, causing Powers to go out and get himself signed as a talent in the SWF. Now, he faces Arcanum one on one in a no disqualification match! Can Powers prove his point to the world, or will the Suicide Phoenix shut him down for good?
Marks: I’m not sure how to comment on this one. I know these two have a history and I know there is a lot of bad blood between them, but this just seems like it’s excessive. I’m all for Jason getting his, but a no disqualification? Really? Arcanum excels in these, and while I’ve never seen Jason in the ring save for when he’s beating on a prone Arcanum, I don’t think Jason will be able to make it out, save for one thing, and that would be Kiwi. Powers addressed her leading into the match and I’m sure they were not discussing dress attire. If Arcanum can dodge that green bullet, he’ll put Powers down.
Santos: I really question the wisdom of this. I know Jason has had a problem with Arcanum since he first showed up in the SWF, but to get into the ring with him? In a no disqualification match? I don’t see how that accomplishes anything but the destruction of Jason Powers. Of course, there is the wild card. We know Kiwi has offered help, but we’re not sure of the nature of that help. Could she know some weakness of Arcanum’s? Could she be planning to use his apparent fascination with Abigail Fate against him? I definitely get the feeling that things in this match aren’t EXACTLY what they seem. Still, it’s difficult to argue with results, and Josh Arcanum gets results.

Hardcore Championship Ladder Match
Devlin Hunter v Connor House
Devlin Hunter, the newest rookie in the SWF, has been on a roll as of late. After defeating Juan Valderaz a few weeks ago, he has come into his own as a competitor, it would seem, and the crowd is solidly behind him. Enter Connor House, the Hardcore Champion. He believes the crowd should be cheering for him, not the upstart, and he plans on exposing Hunter’s flaws in the most brutal match he can think of… a ladder match. Can Devlin keep his momentum going straight through to a Hardcore Championship reign, or will Connor House add his name to a growing list of victims?
Marks: It wouldn’t be a CPV without something ridiculous, and just in case you don’t get enough from Arcanum and Powers, we have this to satiate your thirst for mayhem. House is looking to not only retain his title, but to teach Hunter a lesson in respect. Hunter, on the other hand, is riding a series of big time victories that propelled him to where he is now. The ladder match is House’s specialty, but I feel like he’s grown comfortable as a champion and may not go into the one fully prepared. If House isn’t at the top of his game and Hunter has the match of his life, I see Hunter claiming his first title.
Santos: Ladder matches are always some of the most dangerous matches we have in the SWF, and this one should be no exception. Hunter has done well the last few weeks, but the ladder match is Connor House’s specialty, seeing as he won his title in a triple threat ladder match at Mind Games last year. If Hunter can take the fight to House and not back down, he might have a chance, but I’m afraid the experience and brutality of House may be a bit too much for the rookie to handle right now. Look for House to retain.

Femme Division Championship
Emma Kiwi vs Chalie Williams
Back at Fanning the Flames, Emma Kiwi defeated Carmen Madison to become the new #1 Contender to the Femme Division Championship. Now, she looks to continue her momentum against the champ, Chalie Williams. These two haven’t really ever seen eye to eye, but this is the first time they’ve faced each other one on one, a stark contrast to last month’s Madison/Kiwi classic. And as always, waiting in the wings is Fate’s right hand woman, Abigail Fate. Can Williams overcome the odds to remain champion, or will Kiwi add another run with the gold to her already impressive resume.
Marks: Well, Kiwi has done it again, managing to get herself up into contention for the title again. As much as I like the fresh face of Chalie Williams with the title, Kiwi cannot be stopped. Even with Fate side tracked with Arcanum, Kiwi has it in her to take this title back. Not to say that Williams won’t battle, but Kiwi will not be denied when it comes to what she believes is HER title and will capture it by any means necessary.
Santos: Kiwi is definitely a force in the SWF, but Chalie has been around much longer, and has been in a lot more of these big matches. It should be another instant classic in any case. However, I think the deciding factor here is Fate. If she stays out of the match, I think Williams retains, but if Fate gets involved, I don’t know that she’s got enough to overcome that kind of disadvantage, coupled with Kiwi’s incredible skill.

SWF Championship
John Pirtle vs Kyle Andrews
At Fanning the Flames, John Pirtle won the opportunity (albeit dubiously) to face the SWF Champion in an attempt to gain his unprecedented fifth SWF Championship. On the other side of the coin, Kyle Andrews is still an SWF Champion looking for respect. He’s beaten some difficult challenges, but never on the level of a future hall of famer. But knowing how Pirtle ended up in the match in the first place, can Andrews overcome any and all tricks that the King of the SWF might have in store for him, or will Pirtle once again rise to the throne?
Marks: This looks to be the crown jewel of Uncivil Dispute, the moment where the new breed of the SWF, Kyle Andrews, faces off against the veteran John Pirtle. Andrews has shown that he can handle his own in the ring and deserves the title he carries, but he hasn’t met anyone as crafty as Pirtle yet. Pirtle made a name for himself by winning the title by any and all means and that hasn’t stopped now. Even if the match stays clean, Pirtle will give Andrews a run for his money, but look for Andrews to endure and retain his title.
Santos: I’ve watched a lot of superstars over the years go into matches with John Pirtle only to be cheated out of the win. And even without the dirty tactics, Pirtle is a master technician. He’ll definitely be the toughest challenge for Andrews as champion yet. Add to that the specter of the Repeat Offenders, who are always circling the waters around a John Pirtle match, and I think you might have the makings of a title changing hands at the top.

There you have it folks! Uncivil Dispute will be coming soon to Denver, Colorado.
