It's been a long time coming.
On February 10th, the SWF makes its long awaited return with SWF ReVenge, emanating from the sold out ORACLE arena in Oakland, California. Of course, the specifics of the first card returning from a stellar Mind Games event in April have been shrouded in secrecy.
"Trust us... we want nothing more than the entertainment of the fans," general manager Jackie Blue told reporters today. "I have a huge card planned to kick things off, and the guest list will be packed!"
In 2010, the SWF adopted a video style of show, which immediately took off, leading up to what many are calling the "ultimate" SWF show, Mind Games 7 last April. However, the roster and general manager have been very tight lipped on how the SWF plans to try and top itself this season, after an elongated off season put the skids on their momentum.
In December, the SWF participated in the first ever CAW[n]spiracy event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a mere 367 miles from where their own season premiere will be, run by CAW Champions League owner Eddie Mac. SWF superstars Chalie Williams, Anna Machen, Kyle Andrews and Pouncy were present for the event, trying to generate buzz for the new season. Even Emma Kiwi and the True Blood Coalition made a quick, albeit unplanned, appearance.
"We're all really excited for the new season," Femme division Champion Chalie Williams said when we caught up with her at CAW[n]spiracy. "Of course the superstars have been working hard to stay in shape and be ready to go full throttle once the offseason ends, but what we're really excited about is some of the behind the scenes changes. A lot of our presentation is getting an upgrade, and we're excited to see where that can lead us."
When reached for comment on what those changes might entail, Jackie Blue was again as tight lipped as ever.
"I guess you're just going to have to watch now, aren't you?" she replied.
The SWF premieres its third video season on February 10th from Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
