The booking has been "meh" on Raw and Smackdown, not to mention almost Wrestlecrap-worthy on certain episodes...but there seems to be a new reason to watch wrestling, and it's...ECW?
Honestly, I never thought I would be saying this a year ago, but the influx of new, fresh talent debuting in ECW on a week-by-week basis really brings it above what the other shows are doing at the moment. Not to mention involving wrestlers in pretty logical, "classic" angles that don't have to rely on the pomp and circumstance of Raw/SD.
Seriously, who would've thought that Zach Ryder would catch on as a heel? Who would've thought Goldust would be over once again? Who would've thought Yoshi Tatsu would come out of nowhere and surprise everyone? And who would've thought William Regal would become a badass heel, leading a stable of two largely unimpressive wrestlers in Kozlov and Zeke?
I must be going off the deep end when I say this, but the young talent we're seeing in ECW just may be the best thing the "E" is doing at the moment.
So...what do you think?
