Short Biography
Dynamite Newton was arguably the greatest wrestler in the final days of the URWL / UNW "text era". A veteran of the rough-and-tumble British independent circuit, Newton brought his no-nonsense, high-impact offense to many wrestling organizations before signing with the URWL in 2002. When the URWL merged with the NOW to create United National Wrestling, Newton became the face of the organization and the leader of its youth movement --- which included current URWL mainstays Shane B. Perkins, CobrA (Cory Jones), Jaime Emo and !nterogative.
Because Newton hasn't made an appearance in the CAW era, his accomplishments may seem insignificant to newer audiences. However, his resume as part of the URWL and UNW is no laughing matter. His twenty title defenses included wins against Barry White, Salvatore and, most notably, !nterogative. At The Barrster's Revenge 2003, Newton broke !nterogative's original text-era winning streak in arguably the most celebrated win of his career. However, Newton's legendary run came to an end at Digital Mayhem 2003 in a brutal three-way hardcore match involving Jaime Emo and the future champion, Anybody Killah.
Newton's accomplishments remain significant in the annals of URWL history. His legendary title reign is the ultimate justification to his in-ring dominance during the waning days of the text era. His accomplishments over only a short period of time paved the way for the success of his contemporaries in the modern-day CAW Era.
