I've been a few different message boards and this has come up a few times. Fans of the Rock are pissed. The question is: Is the Rock a sell out? I get it, a lot of people feel neglected and betrayed. I felt that way for a while but I put myself in that position and thought, If I did everything there is to do somewhere and something new, challenging, profitable, and I just so happens to be pretty good at it, came along; I'll take my chances at it. Yes, it sucks that he may never ever wrestle again. He may never make another cameo. It blows but we'll all get by. I think one reason we're so hit by this is that Rock was such a fantastic performer that once he left, the WWE was unable to produce anyone remotely close to the Rock. We're a bit spoiled and stubborn. We want the comedy and emotions that came with the persona that was The Rock. The void has not been filled and we are anxious that it will never be fulfilled so we blame Rock for abandoning us. I just try to remember the good things about the Rock and move on. Now, if he starts telling his fans that being The Rock was a waste of time and that he's glad that he's out of the wrestling business, I'll supply you ammunition to fire at his roody poo candy ass.

Supposedly Rock was accused of being a "prima donna" at the Hall of Fame ceremony by some WWE talent. Although his comments about Cena and Jericho seemed like works (especially given Cena's hilarious facial expression on camera afterward) there was some speculation around the IWC that his speech almost crossed the line from good fun into politics.
But then again, it's the IWC, so I don't know who to trust. They've been saying that Sting was going to WWE for years until he surfaced in TNA. Liiiies.
Like you said, Rock was one of the most charismatic wrestlers of all time. I have no problem with him as a wrestler or actor (he made an excellent crossover). But if he's as bitter as people are saying about his days in WWE, then I have every right to criticise him. I hate to say this, but if it weren't for the WWE, Rock would be either an out-of-luck football player or playing "Rocky Johnson Jr." and teaming up with his father on the "legends" circuit.

I thought he said that he used the WWF as a stepping stone for his movie carrier. hell, it worked so why should we care? the breeds talent
the wwe has not been the same since the rock left. I have no idea why trips wants to be a heel again. it does not make any sense.
plus cena needs to be a heel. the wwe has been in trouble since 2001
