ORCHARD PARK, NY: When Merle Haggard, Junior retired from the Unnecessary Roughness Wrestling League earlier this year, few predicted he would continue his wrestling career in another promotion. Even fewer predicted he would win the GWF Hardcore Championship. Now, Haggard, on GWF programming, is lashing out against his former employer, the URWL, and ex-tag team partner, Hog Williker.
Williker was not available for comment, but URWL CEO Goldash issued a statement. "Merle left the URWL on respectable terms. Why he decides to take his aggression out on us is confusing. He won championships here. We made Merle a world renowned talent. It shows a lack of respect to our organization and to Hog Williker, who does nothing but give his all for the fans."
"The challenge has been issued," Goldash stated, "but it'll be up to Hog to answer his former partner's call." With CAW[N]SPIRACY looming, the decision may not be far away...
