[ERIE, PA]: Buzzings out of a recent URWL house show seem to confirm the initial rumors of a Jaime Emo/Fusion URWL Championship rematch headlining URWL Discontent '11. Fans were undoubtedly inspired by the valiant effort of Fusion in the Unrivaled Ambition main event, and the potential Discontent '11 contest should be no different.
When asked, Fusion was more than enthusiastic to confirm his interest. "It was my plan all along. Jaime and I had a memorable match, and I'll be honoured to book my rematch against him at Discontent."
Turning his career around in the span of one evening, the main event status of the Wellingbrough native is turning out to be a veritable whirlwind. His impact on the URWL faithful has been undeniable. However, URWL fans --- Fusion fans specifically --- remain split on Fusion's actions in the main event. With Jaime Emo incapacitated after Seth Stern's brutal Star of David, Fusion had an opportunity to upset Jaime Emo and claim his first URWL title of the CAW era. Instead, Fusion decided to put integrity above desire, attacking Seth Stern and restoring order and fairness to the match.
"The outcome didn't favour me," continued Fusion, "but I would rather lose a championship fairly than win it cheaply." Furthermore, Fusion didn't appear to mince words when it came to his dislike of Seth Stern's interference. "Stern epitomizes jealousy. He's an overgrown toddler, always complaining and blaming others for his own setbacks. He's confused...and while I'm glad to know he's seeking professional help, that isn't going to change how personally annoyed I am by him. He's a cancer to the reputation of the URWL."
Finally, on a somewhat unrelated note, Fuse was asked about his brief, candid conversation with current Internet Champion Barry White before Unrivaled Ambition's main event. "I don't have much respect for the man," Fusion claimed, "and I'm sure you all know that by now. In lack of a better term, he told me I needed to 'watch myself'. Don't quite know why. White never made much sense to me, honestly." When asked about White's unfortunate parking lot beatdown at the hands of former protege Shane B. Perkins, Fusion didn't have much to say. "I may not like the man, but Shane had no right doing what he did to White. He was totally out of his element, and probably more than a little sour over my in-ring handiwork in the opening match. Shane, like Stern, is a bit too bloody self-righteous for my liking --- sore losers, the lot. Despite my shoddy history with White, I take offense to anyone who takes a man out at his most defenseless."
Fusion's "unrivaled ambition" mirrors his take-no-prisoners attitude. However, Fusion's poise certainly looks to be tested in the weeks leading up to his main event rematch at Discontent.
