Glad to see those moves being so friendly/suited to my CAWs, Candice's keg toss is going to look more like the strength event so that made me smile. At least I know moveset wise most of my CAWs are possible.

I rented the 360 version for a few days and finished all the new "story mode" content on day one (2K Showcase and We Got NXT).
Showcase is really impressive and you can tell a lot of time was spent trying to make small details of the two(!) angles they feature as authentic as they could. That being said, this sounds like a major cash grab considering all the forthcoming angles will be DLC. It certainly doesn't have the depth of a mode that could take you a while like the Attitude and Wrestlemania modes did.
Both default Showcase angles are significant but I would've loved to see something from the past year. The constant "burial" and eventual rise of Daniel Bryan into the Wrestlemania Main Event comes to mind. There's too much 2011-era stuff with Punk/Cena and forthcoming Christian and Mark Henry DLC angles. Just makes the game seem dated, especially considering last year and this year (IMO) have been consistently more entertaining than 2011 was (and that includes the "Summer of Punk").
Showcase is hit and miss. When it's good, it's amazing --- commentary especially. But when it's bad --- it's absolutely awful. As I said on Twitter, the bug-eyed character models you see in nearly every cutscene or QTE comes with an overwhelming Darius Gash seal of approval. In the case of Ric Flair, it's almost like someone decided to create some of these guys as CAWs, which seems totally ridiculous. I mean, how in the hell could you downgrade from BOTH of Flair's models in 2K14?
Anyway, We Got NXT is what it is --- an afterthought. Match difficulty ranges from very easy to nearly impossible without much transition or middle-ground. The second match of every scenario always seems the hardest for whatever reason, especially Neville's Ladder Match with Bo and Graves's match with Bray. There simply needed to be more attention paid to the NXT atmosphere and apart from a few lines of special commentary, there really isn't any attention there at all. Did I mention Cena's "Proving Ground" mode is a really awful re-skin of 2K14's Streak mode?
A lot has been said about the really weird stuff that was cut out, namely replay mode on the pause screen. This removal singlehandedly removed 90% of what made this game special and turns it into an incredibly dated wrestling game on the level of the earlier games in the series. Why did they bother? Were the glitch videos that offensive? Were we making their game look bad? Were we doing too much? It's a silly thing to remove. I can understand CAF, it was largely ignored for years. Story Designer, I'm more annoyed over, especially when the handshake cutscene is used at the start of every Cena "Proving Ground" match. But REPLAY?!
Hell, even the "TV" camera cuts introduced in WWE 12 are mysteriously gone, replaced by the unrealistic "cutscene" angles of years past. Even those are fewer and further between. Clearly we can't call the developers lazy this year --- they obviously took more time than was needed to painstakingly remove all of these options. I wonder what kind of excuse we'll get because of it. It's a damn shame because this is usually something EA would do.
I can confirm all "generic" solo and team entrances are also out of the game, except for a few of the sillier ones (the "VIP" and "Zombie" entrances remain, which were used by all of 5 people).
I never had many of the silly glitches in the past, but have run into quite a few blatant ones --- most notably the fact that the ring bell is never truly attached to your wrestler's hand after you pick it up. It sort of floats on his/her wrist and never "warps" back into place. It kinda...stays there.
Unless you're a fan of taking a massive shit on your money, lighting it on fire and flushing it down your toilet, don't bother purchasing this game. And CAW wise, it doesn't matter if you're online, offline, sim, show, wrestler, owner, whoever --- you can easily get more than enough mileage out of the older games.
Again, to say that "CAW is dead" over 2K's decisions in the last notable Xbox 360/PS3 WWE game would be extremely silly and immature. First of all, next-gen isn't out yet and we don't know anything about its suite. If it indeed removes a lot of stuff we used, we can always go back to the previous games and get as much out of it as we can. I don't know about any of you, but I don't think we've scratched the surface of what the past games can do.
And if you're not satisfied with using the previous games for CAW purposes, I don't know what to tell you. Wait 'til next year. Put pressure on them to get these features back in. Raise hell and save your money.

From what I've seen of it so far, I know at least a couple of my CAWs will look great, I do want to see some diva stuff though and importantly find out if the breast blur is gone like the crotch blur is. Because I feel like my divas are the centerpiece to my CAWs, and I usually make Lauren first as part of a joke on her nickname, so I want to know if I'll have to/be able to compromise for her and Candice Romero (I fear she'll be too small).
I do like what I saw of the mode I must say.

The making of video, there is a lot of performance center stuff in it, but you do get so see some rather basic CAWs in the video.

I was never buying it, my wife was buying it for me. I will most likely tell her to cancel and get herself something nice instead lol. So I'll give you half a point.

I'm not moving to 2k15, I still can do what I need to do on 2k14, the limitations on 2k15 have quickly made my decision clear that I won't be wasting $60 on a game that I probably wouldn't use except if it was for PPV prediction matches which I actually thought about doing.

Due to the videos that have come out, we now know that for some reason, a lot of match types have been removed. For instance, here's a screenshot of the Triple Threat match selection: So based on videos that are out there now, unless Yuke's menu design is really horrible, this is what is missing: Triple Threat Ladder, TLC, Table, Iron Man, Cage matches Fatal Four Ladder, TLC, Table, Iron Man, Cage matches Tonardo Tag Teams Tag Team TLC, Ladder, Cage, Table Handicap matches 1vs1 ladder match Special Referee Also missing is Match Creator, so changing DQ and count-outs may not even be possible as well as removing special outcomes. Now if anyone thinks that some of this might just be because of the updates, the game might not be able to handle it... Well, 6 man MITB style ladder matches are in... But hey, that shot shows "background matchmaking" and due to 2k's silence, no-one really knows what that is even and the game comes out on Tuesday. Remember, we're also missing creation modes here: For WWE 2K15, we were unable to support new versions of Create-an-Arena, Custom Divas, Create-a-Championship and Story Designer. This decision was extremely difficult, but a necessary one, in order to deliver a more focused and polished game. The primary reason we did not announce these changes earlier is due to the team working until the last minute to retain as many features as possible

So much anger and negativity around the internet about this game and while much of it was well deserved, I couldn't personally care less. In this day and age I've almost expected removed features from games that debut on next-gen. Expectations were low going in and I don't really care about what they removed as long as future games add them back in. I felt the same way about 2K14 and its odd quirks since I really only used the game for Universe Mode anyway. I'll still try to throw something together CAW-wise in next-gen 2K15 even with its limitations, but '13 still looks like the way to go until something dramatic happens. Due to the videos that have come out, we now know that for some reason, a lot of match types have been removed. For instance, here's a screenshot of the Triple Threat match selection: etc. etc. Ohai NeoGAF
